It’s post Christmas, we’ve all over indulged. No matter who you are or what your diet consists of we all feel the excessive eating and drinking pitfalls.
I certainly cannot say no to a chocolate or 20 and my little bod has quite frankly reached it’s breaking point.
So the green machine was born..
I was lucky enough to receive the most delicious Matcha Green Tea from the lovely Alina and the team at TEATOX after meeting them at Food Matters Live and I cannot rave about it enough.
Matcha is the most concentrated form of Green Tea – so yes if you dislike Green Tea this probably sounds like a nightmare – however having tried many other brands (one of which was so bitter even I struggled and I like bitter flavours) TeaTox’s Matcha is so light and believe it or not creamy.
I am IN LOVE. They also do many other delicious Tea infusions (Lydia – I’m looking at you) Check them out.
So I wanted to create a smoothie bowl that not only makes you feel SUPER healthy once consumed, also tastes delicious.
Green Smoothies may not be particularly appealing to some but I assure you this is FAB.
You will need –
1 handful of spinach
1 Granny Smith
1/4 cup of Flaxseed
1 Teaspoon of good quality Matcha Powder
A few sprigs of fresh mint
1/2 cup of milk of choice – I like Alpro Almond & Coconut
Throw everything into a high speed bullet blender until smooth!
VOILA – Eat.
I topped mine with Blueberries and some more apple and a touch of Granola.
